Field notes · Entry 01

The outpost
behind the orbit.

Andromeda began as a practical home for endpoints. It still is. The rest is what happens when useful infrastructure is allowed to have a little atmosphere.

01 / Origin

Why
Andromeda?

Because even a utility site deserves a point of view.

The Andromeda Galaxy is our nearest large galactic neighbor: distant enough to inspire wonder, familiar enough to feel like part of the neighborhood. This site follows the same idea. It sits just beyond the public-facing world of tripderham.com, quietly handling the connections that make other things possible.

There is no grand product pitch here. Just useful code, a fondness for well-made systems, and room to keep exploring.

02 / Operating principles

How this outpost
keeps its orbit.

  1. 01

    Useful first

The machinery exists to solve a real problem, even when the public page is having a little fun.

  2. 02

    Quietly dependable

Good infrastructure does its work without becoming the work.

  3. 03

    Always curious

Every stable orbit started as an experiment worth trying.
